IQRA Learning Centre
Iqra Learning Centre is a voluntary community association run by a representative mix of local people. The trustees and other volunteers are primarily of professional backgrounds, ranging from undergraduates, teachers, IT specialists, accountants, right through to company directors.
The word ‘Iqra’ has very special significance for Muslims as it is the first word of the revelation (The Holy Quran), which was sent from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Islam is an Arabic word which means to “surrender to the will of God” hence achieving peace and security. Islam is more that a system of belief but rather a way of like. It is way of life that muslim consciously makes continuous effort in order to become a better human being.
Masjids add elegance and beauty to the locality. They are a source of serenity and inspitation. They nurture a sense of collective social responsibility. In addition to prayer Iqra is Centre of learning, information and advice
“The best of people are those who are the most beneficial to others” Sahih Jami’al- Sahir:3289) The concept of being a good neighbour in Islam extends beyond adjoining residences. It is a holistic approach to the needs of the whole locality and Iqra is here to help.
To Provide a safe and stimulating learning environment. To Employ dedicated and experienced staff. To Maintain a school structure which resonates our Islamic values. To Enhance the overall intellectual, moral and spiritual development of our children. To Provide timely feedback to children and parents on performance. To Implement and improve our subject syllabi to be both engaging and informative. To Promote good citizenship and help children develop their leadership skills to become ambassadors of Islam
